Eastport is an established residential area, with some parklands and reserves, within an easy walk to the centre of Port Macquarie.
Major features of the area include Oxley Beach, Rocky Beach, Port Macquarie Swimming Pool, Maritime Museum, Windmill Hill Reserve, Macquarie Park, Oxley Beach Reserve, Port Macquarie Park and Oxley Oval.
The area was historically used for agricultural purposes during the penal settlement, and now contains a mix of residential dwellings, apartments and tourist accommodation. Â
